This product is supplied with a standard electric element of the appropriate size and filled with thermal transfer fluid.

304 Stainless Steel

Stainless steel is an umbrella term for steel which is combined with other elements including chromium, nickel and carbon, in order to add desirable features such as resistance to corrosion, additional strength and lustre.

All our radiators, towel rails and fixings are made from 304 type stainless steel, which is a variation of the basic 302 type but with a higher chromium and lower carbon content, making it 313 times as resistant to rust and corrosion as standard steel.

The chemical properties of 304 stainless steel make it 30% stronger and more durable than chrome plated mild steel of comparable size and thickness.

Finally, type 304 stainless steel can be exposed to a constant temperature of up to 899?C (1650?F) without suffering any appreciable damage, meaning that it can be melded successfully into many different and complex shapes.

Why Stainless Steel and not Chrome?

Stainless steel has been used in the food industry for many years and is well known as a safe and hygienic material.

Stainless Steel is environmental friendly, 100% recyclable and is itself produced almost entirely from recycled metal.

Stainless steel is easy to clean.

Stainless steel by its very nature will not corrode or flake, meaning that if you take good care of it, your radiator will last a lifetime.

Technical Information

All models are constructed from 100% stainless steel and as such are suitable for any plumbing system including open/hot water systems.

All models are pressure tested to 15 bar at two separate stages of production. All models have been fitted with 1/2 inch BSP female tappings.

BTU/Watt output figures quoted on all our products are based on ΔT=50K. Please consult a plumber or a heating engineer to accurately calculate the output needed for your project.

Important! We cannot offer our guarantee on open/hot water system use when a salt based water softener is being used.
